Gear Knob what do you think would it work?

I found this on ebay was wondering if any one has seen them before and if they would really work?

It would work, but I don't know how you would get the wires down the shifter. You would still need the key in the ignition and have to turn it to the on position anyway. Kinda pointless really.

If you like that sought of thing just fit it , but don't wire it up.
Too hard and messy to wire it up.
