I usually hate leather seats but man, these seats from x factor designs look awesome, i just wanted to know how the build quality is because for 580US i think I will get a set! I'm just unsure how it'll install, does it go right over the existing cover? or do i have to remove it?

Installing the x-factor leather isnt the easiest thing to do, but if you set a day aside to do it and you take your time its a job that someone with next to no experience could complete. The x-Factor design interior comes with full instructions on how to install it and Shadows is great when it comes to support.

As for actually installing it. The old seat covers do have to come off

thanks for the quick response. How do they compare to "real" leather or are they real? The website states that it is "genuine"

Its real leather for sure...Just the origins of the leather i dont know. Its not cheap leather i can assure you of that. I believe Lzy_Eye has the leather interior on his car, if he see's this post im sure he will be able to give you a good idea on how hard it is to install and the quality of the leather...

But i hear as long as though you do it correctly, the fitment is second to none.

All his designs are customizable, so if you want the above picture that you posted with blue trim and inserts, he can do that no problems..

Also if you want boulsters like the VRX to hug you better in the corners, im pretty sure he can do that aswell. Of course at a extra cost but would depend on what you want...

Here I am :P

From my understanding, some of the areas are not leather, but the main parts are all leather.

Install is a little tricky, it definitely helps to have a couple of people. The biggest thing to note is to install the leather on a nice sunny day and leave sit out so the leather shrinks onto the seats.

All equipment is supplied to complete the job. I had Chris from Concord Customs install the door trims as I was not 100% confident about my skills. Really they are pretty simple to do though :)

Do the side airbags work properly? I don't see a tag :(

There are both side airbag and non airbag sets.

Remember that those pics would not be an Australian car.

You have to let Shadows know when you order them what you require.

hey i ave ordered some leather seat covers for my lancer through x factor i recieved thema and my god they feel good.

the leather is soft and nice colour.

Only thing is i got a quote for them to be put in around 450 to 650 for a good professional fit because i didnt wanna wreck it.

So my question to you is how hard is it?
and does it still feel amazing? lol

Who here has had leather seat covers installed, with the airbags?

I assume that it would be a pain to remove the front seats due to the connections for the airbags.
