Removing Pillar Trim & Flocking

So been wanting to do some cheap mods and was considering wrapping the A pillar trim in dark velvet wrap to give it a more exotic feel.
How hard is it to remove them?
If it goes well I might try the others.
Was considering a paint on flocking finish but apparently that's too costly.
Have others done anything like this?

Why remove them? You should be able to vinyl them in place

Might be easier near the dash and to get the wrap to go around the sides better.

It's easy to remove them, literally just pull them. There will be a small plastic piece securing the A pillar to the frame for the air bags, not hard to remove.

When in doubt, stroke the furry wall.

Yes I know you just pull, but the wrong way and things can break, I've had that happen before.

they pull straight off. get a finger under the top edge and pop em. pulled mine off when i installed my dash cam wiring up behind the air bag and roof lining.

Wasn't really worried about the airbag going off... might be now LOL
I'll need to do some shopping before I can do much more.

i wasn't worries about them going off. just the cable getting caught on them and interfering with deployment in an accident.
the clips are tough. if you have to force it you are going to break em but.

That's why I just poked my dash cam lead down the leading edge with my plastic panel removal tool.

Back to the flocking, found a good DIY over on the MCM forum. Looks so easy and pretty cheap, could probably do all the interior pillars for about $100. I wouldn't mind doing my dash but the dash mat covers the excess wires and stuff LOL
