Recaro seats that fit lancers.

I see a lot of members wanting to buy Evo recaro seats for their cars. I understand people wanting them because they are a straight fit including the airbags.

I want to know if anyone has looked at fitting seats from another car. There are plenty of other model cars that have recaro seats.
1. What car?
2.Do they fit?
3. Do the airbags work?
4.Does the wiring have to be modified?

I'm hoping some members have looked into and could share what they know.
Thanks in advance.

A while back I had been finding evo 10 recaro seats both the full leather and the partial suede ones from wreckers and all of them had something wrong whether it be the torn leather or the frayed stitching.
So I emailed RECARO direct and got a response from a company called Idealseat Company, located at:

255 Boundary Road
MORDIALLOC VIC 3195

The person I spoke with assured me that the seats and rails would fit for the Lancer and gave me the brochure to pick a seat from and the prices I got back were quite off putting.

I chose the RECARO Sportster CS with heating shown bellow:

Got quoted
$2799 per seat
Base Frame $ 395 per seat
Freight $ 99 per seat

That was my experience with them...

Thanks for that, so all the wiring for the seat belt and airbags were the same?

I'm fairly certain that the seat belt wires and buckle just bolt on the side of the seat but the airbag model might need some extra work done to make it connect with plugs and wires etc.

Thought i would bump this rather than start a new topic

About the Wrecker seats, any idea of the cost price to get them fixed/re stitched? don't really have $6K to spend for the pair + shipping
