Hey guys, question for those who got them as an accessory from the dealer. Did you get 4, or 2?

I notice every there is mentions of 4 for both front and rear, however when I got my lancer new I only got 2 in the front, and didn't question because I didn't know otherwise.

So, did you get scuff plates, and if so, do you know how much you paid?

The Stainless steel ones come as a set of 4. Only have the Lancer writing on the front 2.

The "carbon-look" ones come as a set of 2.

I have the stainless ones, but I got then thrown in with the car so I can't give you a price, sorry.

It's stated clearly in the Mitsubishi Group Buy Post. It's a set of 4.
We get a special price of A$112 for the set from the Club Sponsor: Preston Motors Ralliart.

Same thing happened to me - dealer only put 2 in there and apparently put it down on the invoice as "front only". Considering I asked for scuff plates I'm not sure why he only decided I wanted 2 out of the set of 4.

I called him up when getting my first service done, and they put the rear scuff plates in at no charge as they should have been.

Give the salesman a call and ask why you've only got the fronts and not rears. Say you asked for scuff plates not half a set of scuff plates regardless of what is on the invoice. Seems to be a running theme with dealerships doing this sort of thing to save costs on their end. Dodgy fucks.

I don't see why they would keep the rear 2 scuff plates. The plates are slightly curved so I doubt they'd fit other mitsubishis. Furthermore, who'd just want rear scuff plates?

It's just baffling.

Apparently they send them back to parts and get a partial credit - while still getting the full amount of money from the customer.

You know that car salesman stereotype? Working wonders for you, champ.

Just repeating what I was told after having my Mitsubishi dealership order in a full set in for me (and having to send back the fronts...woah, no way. BECAUSE THAT HAPPENS  )

Walk on, sunshine.

What so when they get a package of 4 again, they are left with another set of rears?

Either that or there are multiple part numbers for front/rear/full sets and the dealer stuffed up and fabricated some story to make him look like less of an idiot. Don't really care either way, I got my scuff plates.

Second dig PMR has had at me though, good to see we have sponsors going out of their way to talk down to members, rather than help educate and have people learn a thing or two.

Love that car! ;)

So you are saying, two sets of rears don't make a right?
