Hi guys,
I've got a new LX, only a few months old, done about 7000ks (love it
) There is a really annoying rattle coming from inside the passenger front door. It buzzes even when the car is just idling, and rattles more annoyingly when accelerating or if the stereo is up. Is it worth going back to the dealer and asking them to fix this? Is a rattle in the interior trim even covered by a warranty repair? Thanks!

id advise dont ever install an aftermarket exhaust or new stereo, or even lower your car nothing man, coz you will get more and more rattles lol trust me i know,
as for your rattle, it seems like the door panel has been taken off, and one of the door pieces hasnt been put back on properly, if u dont want to do it yourself, then yeah by all means go back to mitsubishi,

Wut? I don't get what that has to do with anything : if you do all that AND THEN get rattles, aren't you doing it wrong?

Thanks guys. There's nothing aftermarket on the car yet, so that shouldn't be a cause. Only thing I can think of is that the door trim would have been removed when the dealer tinted the windows before delivery.
Strangely, this morning on my way to work there was no rattle...when I've raised the rattle with the service dept at the dealer before he seemed pretty annoyed at the idea of having to try fix it. Whatever, I'll tell 'em again.

Grab a video camera and put in the front seat - drive around with it and play it back to the dealer. Might not have reseated the window right - rattling could damage the Power Window Regulator (bloody 350 bucks to fix on an out of warranty car)

is it true you have 12 months from new for rattle complaints?
