I'm kinda diggin these knobs.. They are weighted 490 grams... but is there any point having such heavier knobs on sst stick?
Will i burn my hand during summer holding onto one of these?

				if its metal, i think it will burn ur hand, i have a trust greddy daimond type knob and it gets pretty hot in the summer sun. heavier knobs are great for manual as it gives u a better shifting feel, but for an auto, up to u lol...

Thats exactly the point.
Any RA or Evo Mr owners with an aftermarket knob? Pro, con, thoughts?
is it just pure cosmetics or there are really shifting benefits ( pushing up and down

 )

				Theres benefits in a manual yeah.

I wouldn't want to force an auto to shift faster than it wants to...
And yeah, metal gear nobs will get as hot as the rest of your car, only they take a lot longer to cool down.

				A metal gear knob is like holding the wrong end of a soldering iron, or a popsicle, depending on the weather. I do have a tall metal gear knob in the SST so that it's more reachable, a la V8 supercar. It felt really cold during winter mornings but did go back to normal temperature quickly enough so long as the air conditioning is on and recirculating.

				I had an alloy gear knob i turned up on my manual last summer , it got so hot some days I couldn't touch it ( rather hard to change gears when you can't touch the knob ) ended up changing it for a leather one
