Pretty sure there are airbags in the A pillar so i doubt you will find what you are after. Sorry.

Yes you'll need to be careful if you install something like that. Too large and it'll impede the airbag's deployment. I'm not sure but it could be flat-out illegal.
A discerning cop might pick on it too. Either for obstructing airbags or just targeting you for having one.
Also you'd want to make sure you get a RHD one.

Why would you want one though? Your lancer isn't turbo charged :?

Would you all drop the airbag crap. It doesn't exit via the a pillar. Also there is a connecting clip on the top to stop the a pillar from falling too far away from the roof lining.

And do you think a cop cares about that speedie? Depending how it is mounted it could affect it. Not will, could (theres some pretty ridiculous gauges around).

I think I'd rather leave it alone than have unnecessary gauges all over the place :?
I'd mount them somewhere else if I really wanted them. More so police don't see them though.

You stated 'Too large and it'll impede the airbag's deployment' The air bag comes down from the roof, IT'S A CURTIN AIR BAG. If people would search the site you would find this argument has been raised quite a few times and there are even photos of the air bag deployment. But on the Mounting side of things you will find that most Australian states wont allow for gauges to be mounted that high on the A pillar anyway

OK, So the Air-Bags do seem to be mounted in the Pillar Section as shown in this pic.

However this pic shows & confirms the Air Bag deployment is from the Roof Lining just above the Front Door Windows.
Remember, they are refereed to as Curtain Air-Bags ....

I believe the first picture is showing the explosive/triggering mechanism rather than the actual Curtain Air Bags.

You will find a similar explosive/triggering mechanism for the Rear Passenger Door Windows behind the Plastic Cover in the Rear Pillars adjacent to the Rear Window.

This Single Gauge Pod from RexSpeed might be an possible alternative since it's Low & Not a complete plastic panel replacement, as is the case with the 2 & 3 pod mount types.

Thanks for all the info guys and yes... i understand my car isnt turbo. I just want a simple gauge pod like the one above which i might look into as im just getting a Volt Meter for my system and would like it flush with the trim! Thanks all for your input!
Much Appreciated ;)
