im not too sure what kind of shops are in melbourne.

so they're basically refered to as auto customs? or should i be looking for specific upholstery places?

I suppose you could try either, just give some shops a call and see what they specialize in. The seats are completely DIY-able however if youre willing to set aside a day to do it.

It's been done by members before and it would save alot of money

What sort of "OEM" seats were you quoted on?? vrx seats or ralliart style?
$2500 is pricey but maybe if we did 2 cars at once we could possibly get it cheaper? how much cheaper i dunno? let me know Pete

to be honest i dont really know what they were quoting me for...i just chose this seat selection thing on their website and they emailed me back for a quote.

i would do the whole DIY thing, but i think i would struggle doing it, and i wouldn't have anyone able to help me either. doubt its a one man job...or in my case...one girl job!
