Interior lighting

Postby DavidAnthony » Tue Nov 10, 2009 2:06 pm

Anyone notice all the lights on the dash are orange but the light on the driver's power window button is green??

It looks like they used left over parts from the old Lancer.

Yeah I noticed that, dodgy!! lol.

Considering the PLCC-2 (correct me if I'm wrong) LED is worth a few cents..

You can buy them for 24c each from Jaycar

Yep noticed that as well and thought what was the reason behind that. Is the LED accessible to change ot is it like a sealed switch?

I'd imagine that it's changeable but it'd be a massive pain, I've taken the switch panel off once and didn't take much notice of it, but you'd probably need to pry the switch off and then unsolder the green light and resolder another light

the CJ's interior should be blue not orange

I once attempted to take out my AC controls which failed miserably and ended up in my breaking the console by mistake, but I may attempt this feat once more to see if the LEDs are changable from orange to blue.

Probably not for a while though
