iPhone Car Cradle

Hi guys,

Just wondering if you guys can recommend a decent car cradle for my iPhone. I want something that will go well with my Lancer VRX 08.

By the way, is anyone using this?

must admit. The one i have mounts onto the windscreen via a suction cap and i place my I-phone in that which is adjustable depending on what size your phone is. However it can be a distraction and would prefer something that mounts somewhere on the dash.

The "hold my phone" option costs me around $120 delivered. I don't know whether I am willing to pay that much just for a car cradle...

TomTom car kit is around $120 which has a lot more feature...
The only thing is that I have Apple bumper case on it and it won't work with the tomtom unit.

Any other suggestions?

Belkin car cradle - plugs into the cigarette lighter, has an axillary cable and charges the ipod - $80 from big W.

I cant find the original listing, but i have this dock in my car, mine came with a dashboard mouting plate aswell. Which was just a flat piece of plastic which i could double stick tape to anywhere on the dash. Ive got it in the exact same position as the one you've listed plus mine can tilt, swivle, all sorts of stuff. Does the job great...

You can get the ciggy cradles off ebay awell, mate has one, they do the job great + without the mass pricetag

I had a Belkin cradle that fits into the cig lighter, didn't like it, kept moving around, especially going over bumps. The windscreen mount I got at dick smith seems to be ok for me.

This is my cradle, it will fit some protective casings, probley not the thicker name brand ones but the ones you pick up off ebay can squeeze into it. Does the job great. Only downfall is, ive got it stuck to neffy wrap which is now coming apart from the pannel. If you stick this directly on the silver dash trim piece you will be okay.

I only have a touch, but I think spending that much money on a cradle is a bit over the top. But if it's for an iphone, big w also have a belkin window cradle for $40 - doesn't charge though.

i've used a carcom cradle. Looks very sturdy and not cheap. I've custom mounted mine on the right side of the steering wheel, just in front of the info button. I'll try get some photos up
