There are several types of eyelids now available.

Most of the time, I'd advise you to use http://rickchong.com/ or someone on eBay.

We no longer have access to the supply.

Go to a smash repairer and ask them. They will probable charge about $70 depending on how much prep work they need to do.

The only reason why I havent put them on my car, whoever painted it didnt do the best colour match and the paint is actually darker than my car so it stands out like dogs balls.

Theres a few areas towards the top of the eyelid where the paint has come off but other than that they are in perfect condition

They were probably painted on a black base.... The D06 Lightening Blue is actally painted on a grey base hence the finish being darker.

geez 70 sounds a bit pricey just to paint considering a new painted one on ebay is 150 shipped i think. il hit up supercheap auto and see what they say, i think the rally red metallic code is p26?

$70 is 1 or even less than 1 hours work.

These guys do have to run a shop and employ staff.

You can save money by preparing yourself. This is where all the time is taken.

A colour matched aerosol can is about $30. Then you have all the sand paper, you should use an etch primer on fibreglass, then you will need to lay the base coat (Pretty sure P26 is grey too).

If you don't have all the equipment you are probably up for $50 and it is a lot harder to get a good finish with a spray can.

I would be pricing up some painters to do the work at least so you have a comparison.

im a student who just moved to the gold coast a couple of months ago and so dont really have any equipment (or even a garage atm lol). so it looks like i might just be best off going with this - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/08-09-2010-L ... 203wt_1024
