Recaro front seats wanted

Postby Argus Tuffed » Sat Nov 27, 2010 4:00 pm

I'm looking to buy a pair of OEM EVOX front seats (MR leather or fabric).

Anyone sitting on a pair or know where there are some?

Cheers,

Mal.

Good luck finding them Mal. Not too sure about the fabric GSR ones but the MR ones from memory are approx $11k brand new (infinite did the research on this back in the day- search the forums for it).

If you're trying to get a used set, maybe stalk the Evo X owners here and on other forums (e.g. EvoOz) and make an offer for the cast-offs?

Thanks Jeff,

I've been scrounging the US forums and will even import and reconfigure them from left to right hand.
They're like hens teeth here

Cheers,

Mal

Obvious question, why the OEM recaros? If I was in your position, as great as the factory recaros are, I'd be going straight to aftermarket unless you really desire the heated leather seats feature (which makes them bloody heavy too).

In case you haven't already, be sure to look up the many many many threads on the Recaro seats on both ClubCJ and the US forums as from what I can recall, it's not as straightforward as you'd expect.

I'm surprised there aren't more aftermarket solutions which include the airbags but again you have the same issue of it not being a plug and play solution.
