Looking to replace spare (the toy) with 18" rim & tyre similar to the 4 others currently fitted to the car. Prefer unmarked, undamaged rim with legal tread on tyre. Would appreciate details of suppliers, also watching eBay for second hand rim/tyre. Located mid-north coast NSW thus would need an idea of freight costs (as most of what is available seems to be in the cities). Thanx

FYI, You do realise you'll need the "full size spare" accomodation kit that lifts the boot floor up so the full sized spare will sit neatly and safely.... just something to consider...

Thanx for info, I take on board any CJ VRX/RA rim not just "2009". What makes up a "full size spare accommodation kit" & approximately how much to buy? You write of the CJ RA rim, I presume the same situation applies when it comes to this accommodation kit?

If you own the RA, your full size accomodation kit will be different from the VRX/VR/ES one... .

See the black riser around the edge of the wheel well? That's pretty much it. And you can then place that particle board thing onto to cover the spare wheel well.
Dont quote me on this, but when I was buying my car I enquired about it and I got quoted something around the $500 mark, I think that included the spare tyre and rim... but I could well be wrong as it's been nearly a year now.... too rich for my needs, at the end of the day, that's what Mitsu road assist is for if you're in some far flung place to get you to a nearest tyre place. The emergency spare does me fine for my needs...
Really depends on your circumstances and how much non-urban driving you do....

Once again thanks for your info, may be worth waiting until the Roadside Assist period has expired before sourcing a full size spare wheel. I don't intend changing the car for some years to come unless MMAL eventually sell the diesel Lancer in Australia as they do in the UK. I will continue to monitor eBay for an almost new unmarked 18" rim/rim + tyre & see what comes up.
Thanks to the chap with the offer of the rims, for the present I will continue to hunt for a near new unmarked one
