I'm on the case. Still sourcing a 2nd hand unit. I remember SIR-VRX saying he has connections to one. Speak to him?

I just prefer having the original so i know everything will work without having to worry about connecting steering wheel controls etc etc how ever i am considering just whacking an alpine in there

Andrew,

Best advice I can give you mate after reading alot of threads on this and other sites is buy an aftermarket unit.

There are number of threads with the units others have bought and fitted that fully integrate with steering wheel controls etc and have a GPS unit.

The Mitsu unit apparently suffers from some poor ergonomic design choices and lack of features as well as being a yr or 2 late with GPS map upgrades which are overly expensive .

If I was looking I'd definitely find a unit others have used that has what I want feature wise at the right price.
I'd take a free MMCS but wouldnt pay for one.

At least the US MMCS version has a 30GB hard drive built in for your music. Does the Aussie one???? NO, not to my knowledge.
You might as well get the very best hardware U can afford for your money.
