Do yourself the favour and buy the Ultimate Racing cooler. Should be a bout $1200 Delivered with upper and lower piping.
May I ask why you want a bigger cooler?

Hey Matt,
Valid question - I'm going to be doing a big commute from GC to brisbane every day so I thought a bigger cooler during the warmer months would help with avoiding heat soak in start-stop traffic.
Oh yeah I thought it won't hurt esp if I'm planning to upgrade the turbo further on down the track
Yeah I saw the UR cooler - very very tempted but again, I am on a budget.
Regards,
VC

Ahh ok, If your looking to upgrade to a bigger turbo later on then yeah, its a worthy investment.
Maybe you could look at a water spray system for your current cooler. It may be a cheaper option. Im working on one atm, ill post a HOW TO: when im done.

Alternatively of course if we can get a couple of guys together we might be able to save on postage.

You can get the UR IC without piping, but kinda pointless really to not get the piping at the same time.

Gimme a couple of weeks and it might be a good idea. Maybe a group buy?

FYI
the UR IC is a VERY tight fit

I like a tight fit - as the bishop said to the actress...
I'm in for a group buy. Can we add some of their exhausts to the buy too?

While the UR IC is a great idea, it might be a bit overkill esp if we're running stock turbos, which is why I thought I might investigate the evo 10 cooling option first.
Also, the pipes can be done by any ic technician - you're paying a lot for a brand ic pipe imo. A few guys on Evolutionm.net have been successful in getting custom made pipes and saved a lot of $$ that way.

Apparently the water spray system is good for 10-15NM of torque too.

i was thinking of putting a water spray on my old commodore, just a window washer pump on a switch and spray it onto the intercooler.

Yeah, that's the idea. I got a water spray bottle and pump from work as they found all the old mitsubishi 380 water bottles on a pallet in the warehouse and are throwing them all out. I'm thinking of getting a shift light module from jay car and running it at 3000rpm, so when the car hits 3000rpm the module sends a signal to a relay to activate the pump, the water is sprayed untill it drops back below 3000. With an on off switch also.
A bit of work but it could be a good mod. Any Ideas of the tacho wire SIR VRX?
