WTB: some panels

Hi all,
Really stupid ask, but anyone know where I can get some panels? I kinda had a parking accident (scratched the pillar coming out of the car park), and people have been quoting me $1500+ for the job.
As for insurance, I can't claim or my premium will be 6K+ (i'm currently paying 2.4K with 900 excess) but have had a major accident already, so this seems minor but is so expensive.
I'm wanting to buy the left rear door (as mine is slightly scratched up and dented up top, and dented in at the bottom) and left rear quarter panel (wheelarch took the brunt of the impact so it's dented).
Thanks (and no, i'm not a bad driver, this was just unfortunate).

Actually A$1500 sounds about right. Getting a new door will set you back A$750 and the door is primed not painted. I think you're going about it all wrong. The cheapest fix is a panel beater where he'll simply beat the metal back out flat and then paint.
Doors from Mitsu will cost an arm and a leg.
Another option is for you to try wreckers. Get any colored door and quarter panel then bring it still to a panel beater to paint then attach. Your rear quarter panel will still need to get welded on thus the expense.

I have to agree with Ofey. $1500 is pretty reasonable. There is a good few hours work in the job plus parts etc.
You can try the wreckers, but dont be surprised if the panels are only $100 cheaper than new... I have found the wreckers charge a fortune, especially because the CJ is in such short supply crashed!!
Sorry to hear about your poor car
Hopefully you get it all sorted.

Damn, looks like it'll be a dodgy Asian touch-up paint job to seal the area exposed until I can drum up the cash to get it fixed properly. Really don't want to get a panel beating job on it, as I have heard that it won't look the same as a new door/panel, I only try to have the best for my baby
.
Thanks for the advice all

If you go to a good panel shop, there is no reason why they can't get it looking as good as new. It is a matter of them getting a good colour match, which they will have to do even if they replace panels.
My front guard, and bumper have been replaced and resprayed and you would never be able to pick it.

So I've been looking at some insurance quotes to get a general idea of the cost to me if I claim for the accident. Please advise if I should go through insurance company (and yes, next yr i will still remain with RACV as they are the cheapest I can find so far, with the lowest excesses).
RACV with 2 accidents:
$3137.43 with $950 excess
$2917.82 with $1150 excess etc.
RACV with 1 accident:
$2868.46 with $950 excess
$2667.68 with $1250 excess etc.
What do you guys think? Do or not? *SIGH*

It is going to cost you $1500 to get it repaired if you pay cash. At the moment you need to pay $900 excess plus another $200-$300 on your premium. Also, depending on when you last had your claim it means that your insurance could be more expensive for a couple of years.
For the difference, I would do it privately.
