Hi guys, thinking of upgrading to the evo intercooler set up. Can't seem to find any currently for sale. Would prefer NSW

Only thing i've found are aftermarket units -

is this a viable option if all else fails ?

Check with Alan from AK Racing, he had a few a couple of months ago and might still have some.

i have 1 stock Evo X cooler left with stock pipes.

as for china IC, NOT saying the above is the case. but we did alot of testing on a few and found they performed less that stock evo X once heat soaked. where as high end coolers like ultimate racing, plazaman, ETS, AMS etc work better. in both temps and pressure drop.

I've had great results from the cheaper Chinese (KLS) coolers for anything under about 250 kw. Above about 27-28psi yes they do tend to perform worse than the more expensive brands. But for a street car with, say 220wkw, they perform flawlessly with minimal heat soak. If you are tracking hard, I would lean towards something like a Plazmaman cooler, but if you are not beating on it hard it will make a minimal difference.
