WTB: Carbon Fiber Bonnet or Evo X Bonnet

Hey guys, ive seen a couple around on ebay but there tops $800 which i dont have atm. Anyone got one cheaper??

That will be the cheapest you find mate, If you do find one cheaper then you are almost guaranteed it won't hold up or fit very well.

There is a slightly damaged RA bonnet in WA on ebay for 250. So depending on freight and repairs/paint could work out the same. Plus you wont need to install bonnet pins

I bought my carbon bonnet through Bodykitkingdoms along with my carbon spoiler and the bonnet ended up costing $850.

Ash,something to consider is that it is illegal to fit a composite material bonnet to your car.It must be metal.

Don't believe that's true Darryl - you can't have non-metal structural components (other than exotics with carbon-fibre, but they're approved separately), and as bonnets, boots etc. aren't structural, FRP/fibreglass is ok...

happy to be proven wrong if anyone has the appropriate legislation handy.

I'm a P plater and have been pulled over by QPS a number of times but not once have they said anything about my carbon bonnet or spoiler :) Touchwood!

I have black EVO X bonnet and spoiler I am selling next week just have to get some photos of it

In SA carbon fiber and fiber glass hoods are illegal as long as they provide the same strength as the original hood. https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/transport- ... components
