white boot swap with spoiler (I want to go spoilerless)

Postby rnew89 » Wed Jun 12, 2013 8:56 pm

I'm looking to swap my 2010 ralliart boot and spoiler with a white spoilerless boot lid that already has the smartkey boot release button. I believe the aspires and possibly one other model come with these as standard. I'm happy to do all the work involved in the swap. You will basically get a free, dealer installed, vrx/ra spoiler out of it. I currently live in gladstone QLD but will drive to get a lid in good condition. Mine is in great condition

Im chasing a holeless spoiler to put a rexeed duckbill lip spoiler on! ;D I'm a huge fan of the look. Plus this way I dont have to pay someone to fill the holes AND some lucky person gets a free spoiler haha

if you are after a holeless boot lid the aspire one is not for you, that lip is held on by two clips that pass through the boot lid. That being said if you are adding the duckbill those holes should be covered anyway.

Aspire's don't come with the lip spoiler.
The Aspire boot would be perfect because it has the keyless entry button hole.
If you can't find one a new one from Mitsubishi it is probably about the same price as welding your holes and painting.
Good luck.

Yeah I got quoted $800 for the holes to get filled and the entire boot repainted. I just cant justify that cost if its only $300 worth of spoiler lol

I'm positive you can get that quote down. It's still not going to be a cheap exercise but when I called a few places to get quotes, even the most expensive quote I got was like $500.
