Why don't you just go to Creat'd and get them to put in their custom Intercooler?

@Dazz - you're a star - been searching for this for ages (saw a couple on here a few weeks back, think from this guy so guessing he's re-listed - Exo not Evo is why I've not been able to find it again)
@Ofey - probably because it will cost more than $250. Saying that I think I'll give them a call on Monday to check costs. Will be looking at a reasonably serious IC/Exhaust change next year when my funds recover (assuming the 100's of other mod's I'm eyeing off don't get brought
)

Hey Marc,
i know someone that has an Evo X OEM intercooler. He was asking $250 for it and his from Melbourne. Just have to find out if he still has it.
Sorry just released there was a Ebay link to it. That is the one i was talking about. He is also a member on the forum. His name is Anthony.

@Chris - cheers for the offer, but picked up one in Vic yesterday
@Nick & Dazz - cheers for helping me sort this
@Juan-Magick - Awesome to meet you and awesome for the IC. Now have a nice set of UR upper pipes heading my way for the install

Does the intercooler upgrade help in performance straight away or will the turbo need to be changed as well?

The evo cooler is a larger volume over the RA, so will have better cooling performance.
It is most likely to help in the warmer months, but is definitely not a bad mod to do...

Larger intercooler (much larger) will mean cooler air = more air can be compressed (particularly in the summer, as Shane mentions) = more room for fuel during boost = MORE BOOOOSTTTT . The solid upper pipe replacement on route will also help, as the OEM fabric one can expand, robbing some of the power of the boost
This mod is more about the future than a power boost now, and is a fairly cheap pre-cursor to a proper tune up (later this year) - total cost $450 inc the delivery of the upper pipe set from Canada - not bad eh

Yep, met up with him yesterday afternoon - nice bloke. Pretty happy with the IC - a few fins to straighten up but other than that it's in good condition
