lol Why on earth did you pull up this old thread? There are heaps of newer threads, way, way ahead of the info and improvements here.
eg: Variety of added opening and scoop in front panel , to help getting more air to the snorkel.

Here,s a picture of mine, simple and cheap, not as sophisticated as others.




PS I believe the RA snorkel will fit all NA CJ lancers, and Vin number not needed, well I didn't need it.

My local dealer are rather unresponsive to any questions re modding. They've been getting to me about a snorkel since April.
