Hey guys,
I'm from Melbourne, had my Lancer ES (Cool silver) CVT for just under a year which I purchased for $19,990 brand new 2011 plated :0
Been doing quite a few little appearance mods, however, nothing major and don't want to make any performance upgrades as I'm too worried about voiding my warranty (what do you think?)
Been stalking CCJ for quite a while now without ever giving my own input. I'll have a lot of free time on my hands now so hopefully that will change.
Cheers,
Dima

Welcome to the club cool silver = cool colour
What mods have you done so far??
As for warranty my understanding is if you mod a certain part say for example lowered suspension, and the engine blows up, you still should be covered for the motor. But if the suspension failed, you could be liable for you own costs depending on what part of the suspension failed. Don't quote me 100% on that As it could vary from dealer to dealer.

Hey! Ye that's what I've heard too but I just know how dodgy dealers can be and blame this on that and that on this if you know what I mean so atm I'm cautious with that stuff. So far I've put on a VRX spoiler, bought some 16'' SX wheels, amp+sub, red calipers and engine bay, blacked out bumper, changed pretty much all lights to white, tinted windows.. Probably gonna buy some side skirts next and was considering buying a genuine steel evo x hood for about $1000 painted n delivered but I'm pretty broke
That can't be an ES !

Ye that's the reason I've done them, coz they're harmless.. painted engine bay should be fine as it's just paint (did a pretty shit job on that actually). bout the EVO x hood, i was looking all over the place for a steel one coz they're all fibreglass after market, FINALLY found one for under $1000 painted and now I'm having second thoughts

It's hard to say cause i hadn't really looked into EVO bonnets only that I came across it on eBay when i did a search for CJ lancer. I believe the genuine bonnets are 2k plus, but I'm sure there are members here who can verify this. So if genuine is 2k, then a non genuine for 1k isn't too bad depending on how deep your pockets are
