Hey Cam, welcome to club CJ!
Good luck with your turbo kit. 12K is a lot of money, many would say save it for your next car but if have that amount of money to burn, so be it!
Ali.

Hi Cam welcome to the club.
Please let us know what you are going to do and how as we will be able to help you get good results and not spend a fortune.
Are you replacing the ECU or just tuning it?

CMIIW, VRX model is 2 Front Axle Drive. Turbo kit with 2 FWD not fun.
To convert it to turbo that means you would need :
Turbo (obviously)
Piping
FMIC
ECU (not the Motec please..
)
Fuel Pump
Injector
Line feeds
Bigger brake system
and on and on
Not mention it will blow internal engine if it tunes too "hard".
Why don't you save the money and get EVO or STi. It has better clutch, brake system, forged internal, better gear box and all wheel drive.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers
Gerry

Hey Cam. Nice to see you've got the same modding disorder as the rest of us...
Sounds like you already have grand plans in store for your car.
Just a word of warning about turbo-ing your car, be very careful what a lot of the kit manufacturers claim and what you can do. There are plenty of stories of kit manufacturers claiming the world and delivering bery little or try to deliver on their marketing hype and blowing people's engines up. The NA engine is not designed to with stand too much boost otherwise you have blown internals. no good.
Google is your friend, do a search.
As long as you understand the risks and limitations, then it's up to you to decide if you want to spend $x amount to turbo or not. So don't let people hate on you.
Your car, your money, your choice.
Let us know how you go with your modding plans, we'd be more than interested to hear how it all goes. Best of luck and see you around.
