G’day boy’s n girls, my name is JoeJoe (or just Joe, but not Jo), I’m 28 (god that feels old LOL) and I live in the Gold Coast hinterland (Nerang for any locals). I have just bought my fist Mitsubishi after being a Toyota driver (the other side!) for the past 3 cars (not including the 1st car I owned, a Triumph 2500TC also in silver).
I have just got myself a CJ MY09 ES Sedan in SILVER with totally no-frills extras! I would like to use it as a daily drive, day trips and well as a mountain racer! So any tips on Weight Shaving, Bang for Buck upgrades, Best looking exterior upgrades while keeping very SLEEPER look (not a fan of QPS or DoT Main Roads).
I joined this forum because it looked great with lots of knowledgeable like-minded people! I hope to meet lots of people (as well IRL) and possibly go for wknd cruising or mountain runs. So if you’re a GC local, put ur hands up!

Welcome Joe. Cj's aren't usually targeted by the police as they underestimate them

A common mod would be strut braces to stiffen the car. For the money spent, invest in Cold Air Intake and headers and a new exhaust. After these are done, a flash ROM can be found on this site. (Tunes the ECU to give more power.)
There's plenty of cruises and meets in the Brisbane-Goldcoast Area, you should check them out.

hey mate there is a meet at browns plains harvey norman on the 24th of this month at 7.30pm i think that is if you are willing to drive there for the meet and welcome to the club and congrats on buying the lancer

Hey Joe, welcome to CCJ. There are plenty of us that like going on weekend cruises, especially down the Goldy! Hope you can make a meet soon. As Mitch mentioned, there is a meet at "Brown Stains" this Friday night, come along, check out our mods and have a chat with some great people!
