Hi Sam welcome to the club.

Ask any questions you can not find the answer in this thread.

Some one will know the answer or know a link that will help.

It is a shame you did not come on the cruise last night as you could have met some of the SA crew and cars.

Where abouts in Adelaide do you live?

Awesome!!! I am really looking forward to that.

But sadly this is my first car and I bought it for less than a month therefore I am kinda short on cash. Have to slowly get some basic tools and stuff first. Any advice on tools that is essential?

Currently I am looking to get the some accessory such as “Genuine Lancer Scuff Plates” plus the slim window visor. After that hopefully update to the auto folding mirror.

I would personally get scuff plates off ebay. They are cheaper and I prefer the look of them. I think they give better protection too. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-MITSUBIS ... 2310f16112

As for tools. mmm. I know a good hoist. We or I could do with one. You need to work out what you want to do and need. No point spending lots of money on tools for a once off job.

Welcome to club CJ Sam!
You will have lots of fun going through all of the threads that have been created about lancer's, make sure you hide your wallet though because it's easy to get carried away :P
I recommend you read the Ultimate Guide first, as it contains information about some easy and complex mods, and tells you the rules of CCJ.- This will ensure that you don't ask extremely noobie questions like I did when I first joined :P

Thank you for the recommendation, but sadly my VR is a sportback therefore the scuff won't fit. :( I am still searching thru internet but there aren't many choices, maybe I have to get it from Mitzu?

I am thinking of changing the engine oil myself as I do a lot of Urban driving.
On top of that I am thinking of adding lights in the glovebox and boot.
I will have to search through my tool box first as my friend left me some of his tools. But I am SURE I will do more mod for the VR in the future.
