Welcome to the club Damian.
It sucks waiting for your new car.
In the mean time read as much as you can. if you need any try using the search at the top right of the page. If you cant find the answer then please just ask.
If your car has a RA front then it has probably been in a crash too, so get it checked out to make sure it is ok.

Thanks for the replies!!!
yes, will try get involved as much as possible.
Aspir3, the cars actually brand new. I just asked the dealership to rip of the stock front and attach the RA front. Took abit of time and searching, but they came back and said it's all possible!!
Cheers!

Damian any thought of changing the spelling of your name to Damien?
It would make it easier for the members here I think.

Welcome.
You're very lucky.
The whole RA front bar to buy stock is A$2300+ and they don't come color matched. Only in White primer.
The fog lamps cannot be transferred from a NA to a RA front bar. They're altogether different parts.
The stone trays below are all different as well.
The RA front is also a protected item which only purchasable using VIN number.
So you can see the AMOUNT of luck you've had to get such a deal. Your dealer must really want to make the sale.
Might I ask how much you paid for your new VR on the road?
You might also want to help future buyers by putting up a copy of your sales receipt.

Hi Ofey
I actually got two dealers to quote on the RA front with the new car. One in Sydney, and one in Adelaide. The one in Adelaide is actually a friend who gave a very very good price.
All up price for the VR is $27500 drive away (CVT), including the RA front finished and installed.
I checked the quotation and indeed the front fog light assembly is the most expensive item.
And yes, i do realise how lucky i am. But the front of the car was essentially make or break for me. I love the RA front, and cant bring myself to buy the RA (or rather a certain lady wont let me ><)

Did you get a RA bonnet as well?

Nope, he asked me if i wanted it. But i said no. He said its no big deal coming back in the future and getting it installed.
I see no point really, i think the bonnet serves a more functional purpose (once a turbo is under the bonnet) ???, where as the front is pure aesthetic.
Cheers!

Buy of the decade.
Your dealer is now stuck with a stock NA bumper bar and all fitments.
The Chrome surround for the RA alone is A$300+
Fog lights A$700+
Grills another A$300+
The bumper bar another A$1200+
The stone trays underneath A$200+
Painting A$300+
Sub <= A$3000
I'm in awe of the deal.
Which means they sold you the VR for about A$24.5K for a BRAND new 2011 VR.
Pictures when it comes around play... .
A copy of your sales receipt would help MANY MANY new people.

Will do Ofey. Helps having a friend at a dealership
Im ordering the car this week. The dealer just gave me a few days to think about the color.
If i go white, i save myself around 450. But i am leaning towards Effect Grey.
I can get a high rise spoiler fitted, but im not sure how this would look with the stock VR lip spoiler?
