Hey Everyone,

My name is Chris, currently live in Tampa,FL (USA), and go to the University of South Florida. I bought my 08 Lancer on an impluse buy on my lunchbreak at work two years ago. Justified the buy to girlfriend by telling her it was a birthday gift to myself. Fastward 60,000 miles later to today, I found this site when looking on youtube on how to do some "DIY" projects on my Lancer.

Projects wanting to do:

-Upgrade current sound system (Currently replaced the front/rear door speakers w/ Polk MM 6501 Components, powered by a kicker KX 650.4 amp) Looking to add a DVD player to replace factory radio and add a subwoofer.
-Replace silver trim on front doors, under the radio, and the little piece by the driver door. ( 2 1/2 years and it has started to fade)
-Change the gear shift knob (Like silver trim, it too has faded)
-Add some fog lights (Didn't know how much I would miss them, till I didn't have them anymore)

Welcome to the club mate!

Sounds like you've got a few things that you'd like to do and they'll be plenty of help around, just ask.

Just a note about the fog lights though, depending on how integrated you want it to be...it may be more work than you think. The factory fog-lights are integrated into the headlight/indicator stalk, while you can get the stalk from a dealer, I can't say what would be needed from a wiring point of view. The option would simply be to put a switch somewhere else and just hook it up via that.

Welcome Chris!
I got my fog lights thru eBay which came with a button that goes in the dash next to the ESC button, nice and tidy, very easy to instal, but clearly made for left hand drive as i had to extend wiring to reach inside the car on the right hand side, but that would suit you just fine lol

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

kinesis-
Thanks for the heads up.

shaine-
I saw some on ebay too. Did they come with the wiring and instructions on how to install them?

Hoges-
I have an ES & yeah it does. It started with just wanting to replace the trim then I just continued to add to the list lol.
