Hello, my name is Adam, if you couldnt guess. I've been a member of SAU a few yrs ago but unfortunately m beloved R33 was stolen. This time the wife wants me to be sensible and so i bought the VRX, again if you couldnt guess its blue. I have done a few mods on cars before, notably the R33, with exhuast, computer, etc etc etc, it put out 200rwkw, so going from that to this is abit slower, but in all in all, the lancer feels quite nippy for what it is. Please don't start shooting me down for owning a Skyline, each to their own i say. So anyway, can people answer me some questions please,

1. does this club do any track days?
2. is this club CAMS affiliated?
3. is this club open to other car makes and models?

I'm in to track days and have done a few before, also into the performance side of a car before blinging it up.

I live in the Camden, NSW area and dont mind a meet up or cruise, but as anyone i am pretty busy. Anyway, hello to you all and look forward to being a part of the forums.

3. Yes but obviously it is cj Lancer based.

Do you plan any mods for your car?

You can get a bit more power out of it but no where near 200kw ATW. You may get about 120kw with headers, intake, exhaust and tune.

I plan on a few mods, mostly to get more power, I think its the 2l motor, and to make it handle better.

I dont want anything illegal, as i went through all that crap with the skyline, even though it was all legit, cops still hassled me. So first mod will be exhaust, im thinking from headers back, 2inch stainless.

Then after that we'll see. The overall plan is to get an EVO in about 3yrs anyway so dont want to spend too much on this one.

Welcome to the club, dosent matter what car you owned in the past, I treat everyone the same, i like the skylines, seen a heap on them cruising around Sydney lately

dude the car is Blue so your more then welcome since you got the best colour, Check out NSW section may answer some of your questions on just the one

Hey aspir3, i had a gemini like that one in your sig, xcept mine was off white. good little car, ahhh that was the start of my car modifying. Painted it candy red, worked 2L motor, lowered... those were the times.

yep its a 2L 4B12 is the 2.4.
other wasy way to tell (if its not modded) are the tail lights, Red = 2 Black = 2.4

Welcome to the club buddy, check out the NA dyno tuning thread, it has a bit of info in there of other members gains with dyno tuning and their mods, should give you an idea on what the engine is capable of with the right mods
