New member from the Sunshine Coast!
Hi there,
Just introducing myself. My name's Ash and I'm on the Sunshine Coast in QLD. I currently drive a navy blue 1997 Mitsubishi Verada which I am getting sick of. Thirsty on the fuel (it's a V6), and getting long in the tooth too.
I have been looking at VRXs for a while, but will hopefully be in the financial situation soon where I can afford one. I've been agonising over whether I want a black or a white one. I am edging more towards black, as I love the whole stealth look, and I think the chrome trim around the bumper that some members have done looks ace on it.
Anyway, that's me. I'm enjoying going through the forums and seeing some of the awesome mods you guys have done, and getting some ideas for if and when I manage to get a VRX!
Thanks
Ash

Welcome to the club Ashley.
Are you looking at new or second hand. Either way you can not go wrong with a Lancers. Great value for money car.
Be careful if you get second hand VRX as the MY08 only has the 2.0L and the MY09-11 have a 2.4L in them which hold there value a little better.
If you have any questions just ask.

Welcome
If you want stealth go for black of course. But its hard to keep clean. Not very stealthy if its filthy. I hope you have a garage or something? Mines parked in the weather
White is great for showing off your mods. The front grille blackout is so striking on it.
If you're going second-hand hunt for one with an MMCS!
Maybe try the 2.4 and 2 and see if the 2 is too little? If you've been in a v6 for a while, don't force yourself into a car that feels too weak for you.
That said, the 2 does just fine
