Hi All,
Mark is the name and yesterday i haggled, lied, bullied and got myself a new CJ ActiV pack white sedan for a ridiculously good price.
I am due to pick it up during this coming weekend, or if i can get there, middle of the week. Either way, i am very excited.
Have been looking at Lancers for a while now, and when the current POS broke down (again) last weekend, i bit the bullet and decided i was going to go shopping.
Looking forward to many years of Lancering, i doubt that this will be my last one.

Ty all, and ty for the welcome.
I will keep that in mind Mitza I will keep an eye out on teh forums for upcoming meets, and see about getting out there to meet you guys (and girls) from up brissie way. Always nice to meet people who share the same interests.
I am not planning on modding it though (but if anyone can work out the automatic up on the d/s window...) they have more than enough features for me as it is.
Tbh, i would have been happy to buy an ES, but with the price i ended up getting the ActiV for, i am way more than happy.
Chubb, it is a 98 model Hyundai Excel.
Has been ok, but in the last 18 months it has cost me around $2600, and the last breakdown was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.
I can't wait to own my very first new car, and glad it is a lancer - they look hot (and slightly aggressive imo), and from what i have read here (before i joined up) i will enjoy many trouble free motoring years with it.

Tbh, i would have been happy to buy an ES, but with the price i ended up getting the ActiV for, i am way more than happy. Ended up getting an auto as well. I prefer manuals, but thought the autos have better resale, and also the GF can only drive an auto - though i am not sure if that is a good thing yet
