Name: Brodie
Age: 20
Car: MY10/Manual/Activ/Sedan/Black Mica
Dealer fitted accessories: Floor mats & Front window tint

Took her home via Dicksmith for an iPod cable & supercheap for a d10 chrome mould, then de-badged & de-stickered, changed the numberplate covers, & completed the 'RA LOOK' front grille.

Previously a Holden driver & Street Commodores forum member.
Still on Green P's as i have lost my license a few times.
Ive matured now, so i hope my last comments dont give me instant bogan status!

After lurking on the forums for a while, I have found the club to be very friendly, informative & easy to navigate!

As for future mods i have already decided on:

*BC Racing Coilovers
*20'z/coloured walls/Rolled guards
*Folding side-mirrors
*A 'VR' style rear lip spoiler
*LED style angel eye headlights
*A Greddy Ti-C axle-back exhaust

Do pics have to be hosted on a site, or can i just upload a jpeg file somehow?

Welcome to the club Brodie

Had to laugh at the bogan comment.

Looks like you have experience modding cars, I am sure will can help you with more and send you broke at the same time.

Welcome to the club! Don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the Lancer Activ?

Hi and welcome Brodie, good to see you've seen the light :D

For the garage you can upload JPEG's, but you need to have pics hosted for the forums. Check out http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=292

There is also a facility set up by a member, but I personally have not used this. Check out http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=519&p ... sc&start=0

You really want to add an ECU reflash to that mods list - very good bang for buck....

Thanks, i payed $21,500.
Bear in mind it was my first new car purchase, i did not have any 'Activ' comparisons to make, and should have done more research beforehand as you are now doing.
You may not get alot off the price, but it is definately possible to hustle the dealer for more then the floor mats & tint i got as extras.

Good stuff. They seem to be a great compromise for decent coils at a budget price. Let me know how they go if you get them first! :)

Im very interested in this.
From my research on here it only costs around $70?
Im keen to do this mod right now!
Would it be beneficial to do the exhaust & intake first?
OR
If i get the flash tune first, and the exhaust & intake later, will it end in the same result?

p.s. Thanx for the help with posting pics on the forum.. Ill throw some up soon.

A few pictures & an update on my black Activ..

When she was brand new after a few small changes -
(debagded, de-stickered, ralliart look front grille, premium numberplate covers, tint etc)

& then pictured with my old Vs Commo..

Then, i decided to paint the stock 16inch Activ wheels.
I decided to do them gloss black with a few coats of clear.

I put the car up on stands, took the wheels off & got tha tyre guys to pop the tyres for me..

Prepping the wheels for paint:

The final result:

Back on the car:

Then, as my car reached 5,000Kms.. I got these! :D

Image

Installed, but not quite low enough

Image

So i adjusted the ride height of the rear to the lowest possible setting other than compressing the springs which would affect ride quality.. & added some red wallz. The old man had to talk me out of the spring part

Image

Image

The car looks & handles MUCH better & hasnt scraped on anything to date.. (One wheel at a time on driveway entry/exits) *Touch wood*
But thank f&%$ i still have the bumperstops in the front!

One of my favourite pics as it sits now:

(Sorry about the crap quality, all pics were taken on my Iphone)
