Hi guys, I've just today signed the papers for a new Black Lancer Activ manual. Can't wait for it to get delivered and have some fun, especially having never had a manual before. It'll be the first car that I've ever owned and I've got a shopping list as long as my arm for things to purchase to make it my own.

Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself and I'll be right back here with first impressions once I get it :D

Not sure how long I have to wait yet. I gave the colour preferences and the dealer is going to call me tomorrow with the estimated delivery time after they call around. His rough estimate is by the end of the month.

Welcome to the club, Pete.

What mods do you plan to do?

Take some nice pictures and post them here when you get your new baby.

Thanks for the kind words. There will definitely be plenty of pictures once I get it. They managed to suck me into getting the paint protection but thankfully I didn't sign off on that so I'll go and cancel that tomorrow.

First mods I'll be doing in no particular order will be getting a Greddy SE exhaust, aftermarket fascia and headunit, LED taillights. Open to suggestions for anything and everything.

Decisions decisions. Dealer says the chance of me getting a black or a red are slim to none. However, I could have an Effect Grey by Friday. I'd never really considered the grey, I'd just thrown it out there because I needed 3 colours but after looking around some cars on here it's growing on me. Any thoughts?

Welcome,

The Grey isnt a bad colour at all.

Since you said you want LED tail lights, im guessing your getting a sedan as there are no aftermarket lights for the sportback. you will be able to sell you normal taillights that quick its not funny.

and a mod list only as long as your arm  its either your arm is very VERY long, of you havent been on the forum for that long

The dark colour show the dirt more and you will find the cabin is warmer because it obsorbs the heat more.

Personal choice when it come to colours. I always like to look at cars over 5 years old when choosing a colour as it gives a better indication how it will last in our hot dry conditions.

Get a red one :P

I nearly got the grey, but I thought that driving along they are harder to see than a black car. They blend in too well. Just my thoughts.

Welcome to ClubCJ mate!

Welcome from yet another fellow Novocastrian :D

Hm. My parents bought a red Activ only three days ago from Cardiff Mitsu - they tried to get a white one but were told that they were hard to come by and that reds were easier. Heh. Guess it depends on who you talk to :p
