An Introduction of Myself

Hi all, I am a proud VR Lancer owner fron Adelaide, SA :-) I'm quite attached to her, even going as far as to name her 'Julie' lol.

I've had my Lancer for about one year now, and it's time i realised "I need to do something to it". Only problem is I'm certainly not a professional when it comes to even basic mechanics, so I'm always keen to learn more and perhaps start with a few basic and simple modifications. I'd like to start with looks over performance to begin with, mainly due to cost and the fact that I believe that they already perform beautiful straight off the showroom floor stock standard. XD However, later on it is certainly something I will consider. I will admit, one thing that can hold me back about doing something to the car is taking pieces apart and then not knowing how to reattach it.

So that is my introduction. :D

Hi Edward welcome to the club.

You missed out in our cruise yesterday. Would have been good to see you and you could look at others cars for ideas.

Best mods in my opinion are the x-factor side skirts and front pods.

VRX wheels are nice and can be found cheaper the after market.

Most of the mods can be found on here with a "how to do it". Just makes thing easier for newbies.

Welcome Edward :)

You have definitely come to the right place if you're looking into mods. I had no plans to do anything to my car when i found this site... now i have so many things planned i can't decide which to do first! Unfortunately i can't afford to do them all at once! lol.

Enjoy reading up on all the mods others are doing, there's great info here on just about everything. Just beware the performance mod bug - seeing the results others are getting makes it so much more tempting

Thanks for the welcoming guys, much appreciated :-)

Just out of interest, which would be the best forum section to ask any DIY-related questions?

Always use the search on the top right of the page. Most questions have been asked before. Just use a few key words for search.

Other wise ask in appropriate area. eg electrical in electrical.

On the home page if click on one of these it may help. Please select a category to view. (Toggle All)(View All)
