Hi Guys,
I picked up a CJ Lancer Activ [Red] CVT about ten days ago after trading in my Ford Escape and I love it. Plenty of room for the kids and the little extras in the Activ meant great value for money. I spent last Friday doing paint protection with Toughseal. Bought the kit for $120 and spent about 5 hours and now she looks great. It takes a bit of patience but if you take the time in the preparation the application is quite easy. It's great to be on board..... :D

Welcome to the club Marty.

Great to hear you put the paint protection on yourself. You would have done a better job then the dealer and save big dollars.

Take some pictures now it is nice and shiny and show it off to us.

Here's a pic I took the next morning after I did the paint protection. It was about 8am on a Saturday morning so the light isn't great.

Privacy tint is 20% i believe....The front tint cannot be lower than 35%...Getting the front windows tinted usually costs about $150

I have tinted all windows.

The privacy glass have a clear tint for extra protection for the kids and the interior.

The fronts were matched to the back. I think it it 20%. It is not legal but I have never been hassled for it.

Below is a picture to help

Any suggestions on who to go to in Melbourne? I am Outer eastern Suburbs.

I am also interested in getting scuff plates for the door sills to protect them from my wifes shoes. Got some quotes from Mitsubishi dealers and almost fell off my chair!!!!

What other mods would you suggest?

Welcome to the club ejay!

I used tint professor dandenong to get my tint done. $265 for all 5 windows.
lifetime warranty. I used them for the last 3 cars. Always satisfied.

You can get a courtesy car. They pick up your car and bring it back which is another plus.

You can get great deal on mitsu parts from

What mods are you after?
Lancer -> Accord Euro -> M3

Vinyl fronts are very popular and makes the Lancer beautiful front more aggressive.

The best scuff plates are these. I think they look great and are shaped to protect the edge. Here is the link

And here they are on Aspired car, scroll down to second post http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=4180& ... &start=120

Welcome to the club Marty. I only joined Tuesday and picked up my VR sedan this evening. I live eastern suburbs as well, boronia. Enjoy the site. Found people very helpful on here. Someone will always have an answer to a question you may ask. So ask away. :)
