Hi
Although I made a few posts & may be repeating some other posts had no car until today . Grey Activ Sportback. Woo Hoo It has arrived since I ordered late March.
Really wet today so behaved myself and got new car wet and probably dirty. We will see the grey in the morning and see if it looks like a new car. VCertainly smells like one
Mods already done:
Got rid of some Dealer advertising, plates etc to happen (hate that)

Main Mods In Garage waiting to be fitted :
Front Dams
X Factor Mirrors (Anyone in SE Suburbs who knows how (done it before) willing to help a noob on this one. Happy if the meter is running / slab etc Pls PM
Vinyl front Bumper and move # Plate
Tint professor booked Thiursday (NB front windows $100 or the lot $265 any thoughts?)
Scuff plates, that is enough for the week
(whoops forgot foglights they are in the garage as well)

18" wheels a consideration Mmm they look good (depends on the gods short term but a must long term

Had a deep and meaningful with the bluetooth girl setting up phonebooks. Does she have a name by the way as she kept asking me questions but I felt that she was like the lady in a call centre so It would have helped If I could have called her "Melissa" or the like and broken through her ascertiveness.

Wife has gone to bed, Going to sit in car with manual, (Now I know why they have a glovebox... to hold that yellow pages manual.
Any how, happy now and I dont have to catch the train since our prior cars were totalled.

Note to self steal wife's Colt Mirror switch before mirror install
So I have now introduced myself and now only need to interject
Dave :D :D :D :D

Hahah fantastic introduction mate :-)
Welcome to the club mate, Im sure there are plenty people here who can help with your install's. Adrian is apparently the number one Mirror installer, although he's in qld im sure he can run you through it, and ofey here in melbs is also a champ installer so there's plenty of help available!

Congrats again on the purchase and welcome!
Hope to see you at a meet soon!

Cheers Guys,Thanks for the welcome
Think I could be up to a meet when I have something other than stock, so something to talk about. I would be the fat old bald bloke that should be doing other things than thinking about mods to lancers. Probably thinking about gardening or something. But if there is a meet and I get away with stealing the colt window control... I am the old fat bald bloke called Dave

Q1. Do you think I could get anything for XXXX Mitsubishi Numberplate surrounds on ebay or should I just turf them ;)

Q2. Does this Blubeard woman who keeps talking to me have a name yet as she should!

Dave

Heya Dave,

Definitely looks like you've got things well stocked! Looking forward to seeing the ride in the not to distant future at one of the meets.

Don't worry about rolling in a stock car...most people do it, at least once :p

Cheers Guys. 24 hours later, she has gone to bed and I am sitting in car working out where to put stuff.
She works in retail and only gets 1 full weekend out of 4. Guess What.. I have all this stuff in the garage but I am lucky and am going to spend quality time with her all weekend and leave the boxes/mods alone.

BTW I dont think she has seen the boxes in the garage yet.

N.B when spending money on bibs and bobs for projects IT IS EASIER TO BEG FOR FORGIVENESS...THAN TO ASK FOR PERMISSION
