Hey guys i recently purchased an effect grey ES with bodykit (looks like the same one preston motors sell).
Driving this car is a breath of fresh air considering ive been driving a 2L diesel kia pregio for the past 3 months
, im happy with the lancer's modest performance (considering it's a 2L weighing around 1300kg)
I've been snooping around this site for a while now and ive got a decent idea of what i want to blow my pay on
Rims (prolly VRX or the ENKB/BBS from the evo x)
X factor leather
CF interior wrapping
Steering wheel leather wrapped
gear boot leather
Genuine Dash mat
" VRX wheel controls
" HVAC Carbon fibre panel accent
" Ralliart shoulder pads
" Boot liner
MOMO pedals
MOMO gear knob (if its a direct fit)
Short shift
drop in filter
Maybe an axle back if i get sick of road noise

Welcome to ClubCJ!!!
Nice shopping list you have there.
Chat to Chris at Concord Customs about getting the leather steering wheel and gear boot done, and I can vouch for the X-factor Leather (even if I only have half installed!!)
If there is anything you need, we are all happy to help where we can

That never works.... the newer the car, the more expensive the mods are because you don't want to cheap out!!!

thanks peanut, that's a good way to think about it. Hey has anyone cracked the ECU for this car yet?

There is no cracking required.
RPW in WA are trying to develop some mail in maps but are having trouble getting R&D cars in Perth.
I have had my car in to a workshop in Sydney to have the ECU read. Just waiting to hear back if there is much he thinks he can do. It is not a cheap workshop though, so I will keep you posted. I probably wont have the funds to do a full tune for a while was just getting some info to start.

I will try give them a call tomorrow. The difference with these guys is that they don't do a standard tune, they do every car separate so it costs. So, it all comes down to how much he can get out of the car... I am very interested in fuel consumption too due to travelling 1000kms a week!!
