New from Gold Coast!

Hey everyone,

I'm from the gold coast - long time forum lurker decided to finally sign up as I plan to do some major mods soon!

Currently cruising a 2008 Lancer CJ VR M/T.
- Injen Cold Air Intake
- Injen Axle Back
- Cat Delete
- Short shifter

The paint has seen MUCH better days and I think I'll be prepping her for a vinyl wrap pretty soon.
Anyone got experience doing this who would be kind enough to share knowledge?

I'm also going to be researching and venturing into an eventual swap, probably to Mitsi's bigger "Cyclone V6" 6G75 3.5L, but we'll see how the research goes

Anyway, I'll document everything I do and to hopefully help out any future Lancer modders :)

Welcome aboard
Please don't do a cat delete.
Get a 200 cell cat and be done with it.
A mini cat for the rear O2 sensor will take care of CEL issues

Best bet for a v6 is 6b31 from an outlander.
It will be an interesting project to follow, I'm keen to see how it goes

With vinyl wraps get genuine 3M not the fake rubbish.
The genuine 3M.comes with 10 year warranty.
I suggest you talk to a local professional to get what ever you need to be done.
There is a few guys in Brisbane who do it, and no doubt GC as well.
If the paint is very bad don't be surprised if the pro guys don't want to do the car
Reason being the rough surface underneath will effect the wrap and make the marks come thru the wrap.
Might be better.off to get a respray done.
Also if there is all patches of bad scratches that might lead to rust under the wrap as it will hold the moisture in.
If you want to wrap something , the surface has to be in good nick to begin with

Something I forgot to add was , before you go nuts with the motor, get the suspension and brakes done first
