Hi guys i got a CJ Lancer VR 08 model recently. Its done 46K but Its going great and i love it also its my first decent car:D that hopefully wont fail on me.

I just had few question about the car... like i bought the car from a dealer and only after i bought the car i noticed from the inside on the front left hand side of the car where you rest your feet there is a hole and you can see some wires through.

I assumed its missing a cover or sth so i went back to the dealer and the mechanic in the dealer shop said he doesnt why its there and seemed confused but assured its nothing to worry about.

Just to be sure i went to a mitsubishi dealer and asked one of the guys to have a look and surprisingly he said the same thing that its meant to be like that and also he had no clue as to why its like that and not covered.

Is there meant to be a hole?

Hey there welcome to the club mate!

If your talking about a roundish sorta hole, i have it on my car, no clue what it is but yeah. I assume its for the OEM lighting for the inside, but im pretty sure that mounts up higher above the feet.

That holder thing is for the emergency flare that is required in Japan. But I have found it holds a Maglite very well!

As SIR VRX said a Maglite fits there really well for emergencies! :mrgreen:

AH yes, that hole was something i noticed too, but i wasn't too bothered... didn't seem significant, but i guess u guys have got the idea, i might put my maglite in there as well =).
