:D Hi everyone, it is my pleasure to join your club. Thanks to the admin, moderator and members. I am currently residing in Dubai, UAE. I just recently bought a Lancer EX GLS 2.0. And I can say that I made the right choice of choosing it out of its class.

Hope you can help me explore my new ride by giving some tips & suggestions.

Best regards,
"The wicked world wanted me to crawl"

Hehe sorry, no offence intended. I am a giant Swedish caucasian, but I still try to speak the language of the place I am visiting...

I am a language translator in our Defence force. I speak some Iraqi Arabic, but cannot read or write it. I speak Indonesian too... I have been to the Phillipines about 8 times now, I love Cebu and Puerto Princessa. Manilla can be a bit busy and dirty in places, but some scenic country over there..

Tagalog, ey!?

Marbuhay!!! Taga saan po sila?

(not sure of spelling! Only know about 10 words!)

Unless you know Malay or Indo !?!?!

Be great to see a photo of your car in front of the Dragon Mall !!!

Mabuhay! Wow ur good, I only know tagalog and starting to learn basic arabics here in Dubai. Ur right, Manila is so much crowded. I highly recommend visiting places outside Manila.

But the places you've been like Cebu & Puerto Princesa are one of the best. Next time try to visit Northern Part (Baguio City, Ilocos) and Boracay. Also, try learning this phrase "Naghahanap ako Asawa" it means "Im looking for a bride" trust me you'll get some in Philippines:)just kiddin

Yeah, but that makes it too easy... !!!

Love your Avatar.... sand, f'ing sand everywhere!!!!

I did some sand dune racing and 4w driving in UAE, also a camel ride! :P

I loved Wild Wadis and the Mall of the Emirates... great to ski indoors!!

The movie cinemas kicked butt over there too... I bought a stack of diamonds to bring back to Australia, cheap, cheap, cheap over there...

Pity they don't make any decent carbon fibre parts for my bikes or I would have spent too much !!!

Enjoy

Choosing Lancer was a long story. At first, I was almost ending up buying the '09 Civic...the Honda Salesman was doing some final documentations when I suddenly cancelled the deal and opted for lancer. I don't know but something pushed me to get the lancer...in the end the Honda salesman was so pissed off and his exact words from his email letter to me was: "If you would have gone for a better car then it would have been ok. But why Lancer ? Anyways good luck"

Well, sorry to say to him, Im a proud owner of my Lancy:)

I hate car salespeople who rubbish other brands... yet they probably have them on the used car lot!!

I looked at the Lancer and a Toyota corolla, purely for comparison... long story short there was no comparison and the rest is history :D

Thanks! This picture was taken on the road going to Ras Al Khaima emirate. I was waiting for a camel to pass by to have a camel and sand background...but the heat is killing me, I cant wait longer...

Dubai Mall is also open (twice the size of Mall of Emirates) w/ indoor Aquarium, The Atlantis Hotel...Im planning to have a long drive going to Fujairah emirates, my friends told me I will enjoy it:)

Yes, Fujairah is pleasant, mountains (which you wont be used to in Dubai) and also the sea (with waves, or surf if you prefer). The Gulf of Oman is a scenic area, much more than the SAG (southern arabian gulf).

Enjoy your trip, forget going to Oman..!
