:hallo:
Hey, my name is Scott from North Brisbane and just recently bought a CJ Lancer VRX 2008 for my girlfriend and am looking to learn as much as I can about the car. Really loving it so far even though it's not the fastest thing in the world.

I used to be active on Ausrotary & Skylines Australia years ago (before I sold my cars to get a house) so am pretty comfortable with modding and pulling cars apart / fixing things myself (I'm a Technician).

See you all around :D

Welcome, north Brisbane could be handy.

2008 VRX so that's the 2lt engine?

Thanks everyone.

Our car is the 2.4lt engine.

We've got an intermittent problem with the Bluetooth not connecting. Any idea if that's common and are there easy fixes? I've tried a few things and even taken it to Mitsubishi but nothing has worked so far. Looking to probably swap out the Rockford fosgate headunit for a factory MMCS if I can get one for a decent price.

Already pulled the whole lot out and check all the connections in the back but couldn't find anything that looked like a cause so thinking its a dud unit.

I've got the 09 VRX, but without the Rockford HU or sub in the boot.

As you might have seen elsewhere I'm really keen on an aftermarket 10" headunit which is basically a Android tablet interface with a HU stuck on the back and all the connections. Looks fantastic and puts any stock HU to shame with it's features.

I'm no expert when it comes to BT so can't really help there sorry.

Haha yeah I've been searching through and seen a few posts about those. They look pretty cool, as long as it's well priced and fits like factory id be happy to do it. Hard to find them selling in Aus though. Any idea if they work ok with iPhones? they should, but it seems iPhones have compatibility problems with Bluetooth which is very irritating.

I'm still researching the best option, waiting on a PM about a ralliart MMCS from a moderator on here, if the price is right I'll probably just buy that because I like the idea of a factory headunit going back in but we'll see.
