Hey guys,

I'm a newbie here. And just got a 2009 ES CJ Automatic a few months ago and I'm loving it, kinda starting to become power hungry so ill probably be trying to get parts of a ralliart soon, I have heard its possible to boost it from ralliart parts :D

I got it at 95K so just missed the major 90,000 service !

Nice to meet you !

Welcome to club cj.
Probably cheaper and better to just buy a ralliart.

Welcome

But yeah better of saving for a RA and just do cosmetic mods that don't cost a fortune on the ES.

Welcome! :)

Don't listen to those guys! ;)

Turboing a car yourself is an awesome experience and one I would definitely recommend to others! :) Not only do you get the satisfaction of building it yourself, you will be one of the rare few who have turbo'd a NA car! :)

I agree, if you have the money/time and help then putting a Turbo on any engine would be a good goal. I know others who have added turbos to older Lancers, mostly CC/CE coupes. Not sure is many have put a turbo on a 4B12.

Personally I find my VRX has enough power for everyday use and more than enough on the highway and would rather a RA if I wanted more power for the AWD, just a shame we never got the NA AWD here in Australia so we had the option to add a turbo and have AWD for safety.

Welcome if you do go the turbo route I would sugest just getting a 4b11T set up, a lot of people that go turbo the stock 4b11 end up blowing it up, and go down the RA/Evo motor route any way
Do it once do it right IMO
