April 2009 - Ralliart in Brisbane

Postby 33ASY » Sat Jul 11, 2009 6:17 pm

Well.. I had a FPV (Ford) BA XR6 and was tossing up between
a) Lancer Ralliart
b) Subaru WRX
c) FG Falcon XR6 Turbo

So I test drove them all, were all the same price pretty much, and althoug the falcon techincally was faster etc, I had done it all before, so.. I opted for the ralliart.

I have uploaded pics of it to the garage , and you can see my old car in the bg in some of the pics.

I'm in brisbane, live on the nthside.. and yeh.. haven't really had a chance to test it against other cars yet.. only time i've had anyone try me at the lights was a sylvia with some dude and his mate, and i absolutely smashed him .. lol

but yeh.. let me know what you think of my ride... I'm getting my sub n s**t installed on monday 13th July , and will slowly be doing more s**t to it.. As you can see from my falcon in the BG.. I kinda do a lot of s**t to my car. lol

Awesome site btw!

Welcome CUL8Z......I think you're the first red Ralliart owner on this site. Some nice mods - like the leather interior, 20 inch mags....how hard is the ride????

You'll find lots of ideas for other add ons to your ride from many CJ owners here. (Glad you didn't go for the busted nutsack WRX) :)

LOL yeh me too.. tho the Falcon was tough competition :P .. I only got the wheels on it yesterday so Im not too sure yet .. hehe .. i'm having issues with the tyre hitting the lip on the back drivers side when i go over bumps so i gotta take it back in on wed (cuz its in the audio shop mon & tue).. then i can give it a bettter test, but i definatly need bigger brakes and firmer suspension...

I actually wanted black, but there was none avail in australia (without waiting possibly months) in a sedan with the options i wanted.. This was actually the last ralliart left (with options) and I had to fly to melb to get it.. then drove it up.. :P

HAHA Sorry mate, just expressing my opinion!

We've never had any attention from the Police. We all act and drive responsibly so there is nothing they can do anyway. Of course, we still have fun out driving, we choose roads that really show off the Lancer's handling and performance.

BTW You're welcome to bring along a girlfriend/boyfriend/whoever to keep you company, but we're all very friendly anyway.

And hopefully there will be 2 other RAs there.

I know how it is with the whole "going to another state/city to get your RA" I got mine from Brisbane and then drove it back up to Townsville the next day - 12th December. (I wanted mine first and Townsville weren't getting any in for a few months) There were only 3 black sedans in Brisbane when I bought mine, but the only one with the RF package. The way it is now - Order one, wait for 3 months and then you might be lucky to get the colour you want. What a crock!!!! No wonder Mitsu end up around 7th in car sales each month!

Yeah it's a personal hate thing lol (no offence to you of course)

It's the same when they're on Commodores/Falcons etc. One thing I will give you though... At least your car is available in Europe, unlike Commodore and Falcon!

How much did the new windscreen set you back? I've heard is got to come out from Japan, and it costs over $1000 (thanks to the provision for the rain/light sensors)
