Real first name: Michael
Location: Adelaide
Model: 2013 MY14 ES
Colour: Grey
General interests: Cars (naturally), computers, electronics, science, general interest topics, movies, tv shows, and anything else that I find interesting!
Current mods: None
Planned mods: Nothing too fancy, exhaust, intake, earthing kit, anything else that looks interesting I guess. Not looking to spend a huge amount on mods!
How you found out about ClubCJ: Google, but I had come across the site before I believe.

Earthing kit is probably the thing that is 'most overkill', however I already have one taking off my old car so it is a 'free' mod. Has anyone installed one before, any benefit? Any suggestions on the best places to earth?

The battery negative post and the cars body are 'Earth', so 'upgrading' earth is really just decreasing the resistance to that 'earth' terminal.

Things that benefit from it? Sensors mostly, anything that needs to know a true and accurate 0V reference. Or, high currents - the least resistance to ground for them, the better.

If you get a multimeter set to resistance and check from the engine block to the battery negative terminal, and get very close to 0.00ohms, you are already at perfection. Copper itself (the wire!) has a resistance too - just a really small one.
My 2c: No benefit to a grounding kit if your car is already correctly and adequately attached to the battery negative terminal.

I was thinking that would probably be the case. Since I already have it I'll use it. I didn't pay ~$200 retail for mine though.

Seems to be a few around. I wonder how many on here are ex Magna and 380 owners?

I still have my 380! It's the Lancer's bigger, older, and curvier sister.

I changed over from the 380 predecessor (the last shape).
