We should organize a meet up once a month (weekend preferably ) to catch up and meet new people and to bring this club up again..what do you guys think?

Yes daytime weekends would be great but note your in Sydney, I'm in Melbourne. Like to see meets in northern suburbs say Greensborough or Bundoora for instance.
