HI all,

Im not sure if you bother reading posts from all of the newbies but i intend on hanging around a bit. I was an engineer at MMAL Research and Development so have a long term affiliation for THE product.
Current Mitsu status...
a)2010 RA Lancer Sportback (stock as of today but turbo XS TB +3port on road from QLD plus S&J tune next week)
b)S1 380 vrx (still my fave daily driver),
c)CJ ES for elderly mum
d)I bought a Magna Wagon for my best man,
e)and waiting on delivery of Outlander Aspire DID for towing and wife's work car.

After the tune, plans for RA will be BBK (any ideas appreciated), then possibly EvoX IC, pipes and turbo if I can get cheap enough.

I have worked through heaps of the info here and at EVOLUTIONOZ and I think there was a silver RA with stacks of MODS based in inner west of ADL with race stickers all over it...who is that?

I hope I can be of some value to this forum...see how much time I can find for it!

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the quick welcome!

Welcome to the club.
I would hold off with the tune until all your mods are fitted.
I would avoid S&J for a tune as they use ecotek too. ECUflash is so much easier, better and cheaper too. There are many good tuners here in Adelaide that can do it with ECUflash.
Good luck.

Yeah, mods first then tune...of course!

I used to work with Steve Knight at MMAL - I was going to ask him to do it but he is out of action at the moment. Other tuners I have heard of are on other side of town and I am just a little too busy to do that. I can drop kids at school, car at S&J, walk to work, pretend to be busy, walk back to SandJ's, drive kids home from school and my family will be none-the-wiser!

All suggestions welcome though.

If you feel comfortable doing things yourself you can get free tunes for the ralliart on the Web and flash them yourself with ECUflash and check them with evoscan. Cheaper, better, more satisfying doing it by yourself.
It's a shame Steve is not free. Like I said I would avoid ecotek at all costs.

St Marys - Work, Eden Hills - Home. :-) I have got every nuance of belair road memorised because I 'deviate' up that way 2-3 times a day!

Cheers for the advice Jason. Ill start another thread after this...but I thought that after an initial ECUtek it would be possible to reflash later with ECUflash and start afresh once the 'bug' really bites and I get more serious (learn more...have more time etc later?).

Cool.

I used to drive to the Seymour Proving Ground and back in the Prototype for the Sportswagon (essentially a Verada they had fitted with the Sportswagon muffler and Suspension). What a great car! I think it would have been able to drive itself to Tailem Bend and back on its own after the number of trips it took! The Megane is a very nice car. I saw one for sale on the side of the road in Blackwood on the weekend and I had to remind myself why I am keeping the RA. Kids, Bikes, Kids, School Bags, Kids, Kids Crap, Kids Friends Crap :-) Wow thats a nice colour for the Megane....
