newbie without a lancer

hi guys and girls, met some of the club today at wivenhoe dam, i've always loved lancers and i'm thinking of getting one in the near future. my mate just bought one and i might have to go for a ride and see how much i'll want one.i think i will. nayway...hi from me...Daz

You're going to have to 'jump' straight to an RA, your excuse to your partner/bank manager/family can just be that
"you're sticking with a 4WD, but you're just downsizing to a more economical car"...

i've noticed that most RA's are autos, do they come in manual at all?

All RAs are autos, they only come with the TC-SST. You do get a manual, but that just stays in the glovebox.
