Hi, new member here Justin in Melbourne

Postby Spectre_ES07 » Sun Jun 15, 2014 11:32 pm

Hi,

I've just joined this awesome forum as I've just bought a CJ Lancer. I'm from West Melbourne, originally from Adelaide.

I recently purchased a White 07 ES Lancer and love the car! Unfortunately it is very stock but I did put a set of new 17" wheels on this weekend. I will upload some pics when I have some more time.

I got this car cheap but it has a few stone chips and a small bumper scrape at the back and two minor ones down the bottom on the front bumper and could also do with a bit of a cut and polish.

Does anyone have any experience in dealings with cosmetic repair in Melbourne? There are mobile companies like Touch up Guys and Scratch and Dent Busters that come to you and claim to be cheaper than regular panel beaters.

There is a place called Xtreme Dents in Maribyrnong that looks decent. Would be great if anyone can assist with some advice?

Cheers.

:) 8) :welcome:  :P

Don't worry about having a "very stock" car, it just means you have more scope for personalising it - mine was bog-basic and after getting lots of ideas from members here and scouring the interweb, I'm pretty happy with how it's come out.

Poke around on the various forums on here and ask loads of questions - you're sure to get plenty of suggestions..

:-D

Probably not a bad idea to start a mod thread now, so we can track your progress!

Enjoy!

Welcome,

As Martin said Don't worry about being "very stock", its just a canvas for you to work on :)

Unfortunately can't help you out too much on the cosmetic repair stuff, try sussing out shops in your area compare the prices yourself, happy hunting :P

Welcome!

Nothing wrong with stock, have a look around and take your time to decide on your mods. I think it was nearly a year before I touched mine!

There is a excellent mobile guy Mattie from Elima dent that Alan / Megatron knows. I will message Alan and see if I can get his number for you. A bunch of us had some dents removed a little while back and he is brilliant. He is based in Adelaide but travels and certainly worth the wait!

Welcome to the forum mate.

Like Zaph said "More Stock. More scope" for ideas.

Mine has 2 mods but more stickers which makes it almost stock haha

Thanks for the welcome guys! I've been really busy lately so probably won't get on here as much as I hope!
