Not a big forum guy usually, but just bought my first Lancer and am stoked with it, probably looking at doing some minor mods in the future.

Got myself a 2013 ES and am loving it at the moment.

Edit: Blue ES, just with extra window tinting. Brought ex demo (32km) from dealer. Extremely paranoid about what will void my warranty :P Keen for sound system/audio mods and adding a spoiler, also very keen to swap over the front grills for LX model grills with the chrome

Welcome Rob!

Prior to Club CJ I wasn't a forum person either.

I'm sure the SA crew will make you feel welcome!

Heya Rob! Welcome to the club.
Yay another blue ES! They are the best cars and nice work with colour ;)
Keep an eye out for up coming cruises. Its a great way to get out, meet everyone and check out all our cars. Its so much better seeing certain mods in real life. We have a cruise/meet every month. Our next one will be towards tthe end of March, heading out north. However there's a few other events happening before then that some of us will be at, ie car shows.
Just be careful round here cos once you start modding, you won't be able to stop, its all very addictive :)
Enjoy :)

If you form a good relationship with your service team just ask them about planned mods. General rule is it effects warranty if you have made mods that effect that area. Eg I've been dreaming of a new exhaust etc
Spoke to my service manager and his happy that if I don't touch or change O2 sensor I will not void warranty for anything related to that area.

I'm from southern suburbs, Happy Valley.

Service team you say, well looks like I need to get chummy :) Still a while off my inspection so will have a chat.

Avoid engine or electronics mods (other than upgrading your stereo) and you'll be fine. Anything you change won't be covered by warranty, anything that's damaged by anything you install won't be covered. Ask first!

:-)

Post pics, update as you add mods!

Ask questions, and have fun!
