Hey mate welcome!!

Tbh im running a Injen Cai in my 2012 Es and man was there a difference.. The engine just sounds so raw now. I would invest in a hyrdoshield if u go for the Cai it will increase ur filter life by heaps :)

Yeah I was considering the cai because of the more air flow and better intake positioning but the water scares me a little with the damage it can do.. I'm looking to get a new intake system a high flow exhaust ( atm I got standard piping and a canon just to give it a little sound instead of hearing the engine rev it's tits off) but I will need a tune on the ecu to make a big difference and possibly some extractors... I can see benefits to both Sri and cai but what is best I'm unsure as the Sri is in engine bay and will suck more hot than cold but with the cai it will suck a lot of cold air but just abit Squamish at the idea of it sucking water :S any thoughts?

That whole water issue is if u manage to submerge the filter itself in a puddle or something. I've driven my car in heavy as hell rain and its done nothing to the engine :) But yeh i grabbed a hydroshield to be safe it helps dissipate the water much better if it manages to go through the filter and if thats the case it will evaporate before it even reaches the engine.
